Frequently asked questions
Do these symbols mean anything in Japanese, or are they just decoration?
Some carry real meaning — 「」are standard Japanese quotation marks, and ㊙ specifically means "secret/confidential" while ㊗ means "congratulations." Using them as-is is fine for a stylized look, but worth knowing they're not purely ornamental like some other symbol sets here.
Is this the same as writing in Japanese?
No — this is a small set of punctuation and circled-kanji marks, not the hiragana, katakana or kanji needed to write actual Japanese sentences. For real Japanese text you'd need a Japanese keyboard or input method, not a symbol picker.
