Text you type

Every text transformation, symbol lookup and nickname or bio you generate happens entirely in your browser. GlyphDrip does not send the text you type to a server, and does not store it — not in a database, not in logs, not in analytics events.

Favorites and recent copies

Favorites and recently copied items are saved only in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are not visible to us.

Usage analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregate usage events — for example, that a tool was used or a copy button was pressed — to understand which features are useful. These events never include the text you typed. See our analytics implementation for the exact list of event types we support.

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage for your theme preference, favorites and recent copies — not cookies for tracking. No account or sign-in is required to use GlyphDrip.

Future keyboard app

When the GlyphDrip iOS keyboard launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering how it handles text typed through the system keyboard, published before release.

GlyphDrip Kaomoji Picker (browser extension)

The extension only requests the storage permission — it has no access to the pages you visit, does not use a content script, and cannot read or modify anything on any website.

The only things it stores are the kaomoji you mark as favorites and your recently copied kaomoji, saved locally via the browser's chrome.storage.sync API (synced across your own signed-in browser instances by Google, not sent to GlyphDrip). The extension makes no network requests of its own and sends nothing to GlyphDrip's servers or anyone else's.

GlyphDrip Font Finder (browser extension)

The extension reads the styling of an element on the page — font, size, weight, color and spacing — only when you right-click it, hover over it with hover mode turned on, or use the picker tool. It does not read or collect the page's text content, browsing history, form inputs or any other page data, and it never runs in the background scanning pages you haven't interacted with.

It requests broad site access (matching every page) because font inspection has to work on whichever site you're currently looking at — there's no way to predict that in advance. This access is used only to read computed CSS on the element you interact with; the extension does not modify pages, inject ads, or track browsing activity.

The only things it stores are two preferences — your hex/RGB color format choice and whether hover mode is on — saved locally via the browser's chrome.storage.sync API (synced across your own signed-in browser instances by Google, not sent to GlyphDrip). The extension makes no network requests of its own and sends nothing to GlyphDrip's servers or anyone else's.
