Frequently asked questions
Are these live weather icons, or just static symbols?
Static characters only — copying ☀ doesn't pull today's actual forecast. They're meant for writing about weather in a caption or bio, not for checking real conditions; a weather app is still the tool for that.
Why do ☀ and ☁ look different across apps even though they're the same character?
Some weather symbols (like ☀ and ☁) are plain Unicode dingbats that inherit whatever font the app is using, while others are full-color emoji rendered by the device — that mix is why the exact look can shift slightly between platforms even for the same character.
