Text Card Generator

Type your text, pick a style and a color theme, and download a ready-to-share PNG card — for stories, overlays and anywhere you need an image instead of pasteable text. Switch to Real font mode for genuine Korean, Cyrillic or Japanese typography our text styles can't reach.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as your fancy text generator?

It uses the same styles, but the output is different — the fancy text generator gives you Unicode text to copy and paste, this gives you a downloadable PNG image, for places where you need an actual picture instead of pasteable text (a story background, a stream overlay, a thumbnail).

Can I make a card with Korean, Russian/Ukrainian or Japanese text?

Yes, using "Real font" mode instead of "Unicode style" — the Unicode-substitution styles can't restyle those scripts at all (there's no bold/cursive version of Hangul, Cyrillic or kana/kanji in Unicode), but Real font mode renders your actual text in a genuine font for that script instead. The tradeoff: you get an image, not pasteable text.

Do I need to install a font to see the styles correctly?

No — the card is generated entirely in your browser using a font we load automatically, so every style renders correctly without any setup.

Is my text sent to a server?

No — the whole image is drawn locally in your browser and never leaves your device.

Can I make text into a heart or spiral shape?

Yes — pick Heart or Spiral from the Shape option. Short text automatically repeats around the shape so it reads clearly; longer text uses its own characters without repeating.

Can I download as JPG instead of PNG?

Yes — pick JPG from the Format toggle before downloading. Since the card always has a solid background color, there's no transparency to lose either way.

What do the Drop shadow, Glow, Fire and 3D effects do?

Drop shadow and Glow add a shadow behind your styled text using the canvas's own shadow rendering — Drop shadow is a soft dark offset shadow, Glow uses your chosen theme's accent color with a larger, centered blur for a lit-up look. Fire fills the text with a yellow-to-red gradient and an orange glow for a flame-style look, independent of your color theme. 3D redraws the text several times along a diagonal in a solid block color for a chunky extruded look, like classic block-letter WordArt.
